12 Inch Sloping Wire Basket | Compact Width for Tight Panel Runs
The 24-inch sloping basket in this lineup is the right choice for open wall sections with plenty of panel space. This 12-inch version, however, is designed for tighter situations — a narrow panel section, a position between two other accessories, or a wall run where multiple small basket positions are more useful than one wide one. At exactly half the width of the 24-inch model, two of these 12-inch baskets fit in the same panel space as one 24-inch basket. That flexibility lets stores create a two-product bulk display from one panel position rather than a single-category fill.
Sloping Front | Self-Facing Basket Display
The sloping floor angles basket contents forward toward the shopper. As items are removed from the front of the basket, remaining products slide forward naturally to fill the gap. This self-facing effect keeps the basket looking stocked between staff restocks. Furthermore, the angled display lets shoppers see basket contents clearly from a standing position without leaning over the panel. For small accessories, packaged goods, and impulse merchandise, that visibility from the approach angle is the difference between a basket that sells and one that gets ignored.
Black Finish | Single Color for Dark Panel Systems
This 12-inch sloping basket is available in black only. It suits dark-finish slatwall, black gridwall, and pegboard installations where a black basket integrates cleanly with the surrounding panel hardware. Unlike the 24-inch sloping version, it does not offer chrome or white options — stores that need a light finish in this size should consider the other basket sizes in the lineup. At $6.00, it is the most affordable basket in the wire accessories range, making it a practical choice for filling multiple panel positions across a large black fixture wall. According to Wikipedia's overview of visual merchandising, compact wall baskets at accessible price points are a standard tool for building high-density impulse display sections on gridwall and slatwall panels.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between this 12 inch sloping basket and the 24-inch version?
Both share the same sloping front design, 4-inch height, and gridwall/slatwall/pegboard compatibility. The key difference is width — this version is 12 inches wide, exactly half the 24-inch model. Choose the 12-inch version for tight panel sections or multi-basket positions where two smaller baskets are more useful than one wide one. Also note this version is black only; the 24-inch sloping basket has no finish options listed.
Does this 12-inch sloping basket come in chrome or white?
No. This basket is available in black only. For chrome or white finish options in a shallow basket, see the 24-inch shallow basket in this lineup which offers black, white, and chrome.
What merchandise works best in a 12-inch sloping wire basket?
Small accessories, packaged goods, bagged products, and impulse merchandise suit the 12-inch size. The sloping front keeps items visible and self-facing. The compact width suits tight panel sections or positions where multiple small basket categories display side by side.
